  • There will be games, crafts, and activities available for children.

  • Hatsume celebrates the first bud of spring at Morikami. 2020 marks our 41st annual celebration. Over this weekend festival we present a variety of entertainment from taiko drumming to costume contests. As a signature of Hatsume Fair, we welcome more than 30 artists, craft and plant vendors as well as anime and comic dealers.

  • Fashion show on Sunday

    • Best lolita, decora, anime, & kimono-inspired outfits

  • Gardens will be open during the festival but museum galleries will not.

  • Events: Taiko drumming, martial arts demonstration, bonsai demonstration, rock garden raking, garden tour, and MORE.

  • Hatsume T-Shirts will also be offered

    • Bring your own shirt: first screen print is free, $5 per shirt afterwards/ buy one for $10

One of THOSE Days

  Happy Friday Y'all! This week has been one of THOSE weeks. You know, one of those weeks where you are not mentally where you want to b e, your physical healt h is pretty sucky, or when you just need a break from life and  all  things ass ociated with it. Unfortunately, I've been definitely experiencing one of those week. I  woke up Sunday feeling pretty icky and instantly though, OH NO! I was experiencing a runny nose, headache, dry cough, and just felt really weak. I went home for the weekend and knew I    was in no shape to drive back to campus. I went back to campus Monday evening and woke up Tuesday morning to g o to my universities Student Health Center. In the times of COVID-19, I  w as prettyyyyyy sure I  had caught it and very bummed.
